The Harrah's: Jonathan, Jeremy, Michael and Dale
Puppets have been a part of Dale's sons lives since they were babies. We have had many of our characters for over 25 years. Some of the characters used in the early days of our ministry have had to be replaced (we wore them out!). Check out the 1989 picture with the original Crackers and Gobbles puppets and the look at them in the 2002 photo. We tried to match the photo to the one taken 13 years earlier. The boys got bigger and so did the puppets. The Harrah boys have been an active part of puppet ministry. Many of the character's personalities were ideas that the boys came up with. Michael has created music and recorded soundtracks for many of the songs and illustrated sermons. Jeremy is a little shy, and has always been the "behind the scenes" guy. Michael and Jeremy have not been able to be part of the evangelistic travels over the last few years because of their jobs. While Jonathan has compensated for their absence. Jonathan loves to act and is a top-notch professional puppeteer. He is the voice of at least half the characters and is so good at imitating Dale, that they often switch puppets in the middle of a performance without anyone noticing. Jonathan drew all the puppet drawings in the "Meet the Character" section and coloring pages on the Puppetown Kidz Zone Website. Jonathan can perform one character that his father can't imitate! And that is Dew. Dew is one of the Harrah's most popular characters and gets emails from children all over the country. Jonathan is a psychology student at Missouri Baptist University and feels a calling to the ministry.
